Quick answer: A 30-day Dubai visit visa is a UAE entry permit that, if approved with those conditions, allows the holder to stay for up to 30 days. The application, eligibility, fees and extension options depend on the applicant and the issuing authority.
What is a 30-day Dubai visit visa?
A 30-day Dubai visit visa is a short-stay tourist entry permit for travel to the UAE. The Dubai immigration authority lists single-entry tourist visas for 30- or 60-day stays. A single-entry permit is for one visit; if you leave the UAE, you should not assume you can use that same permit to re-enter.
A 30-day visa is not the same as the deadline to enter the UAE. The entry-permit validity and the allowed stay are separate dates. ICP’s guidance says holders must enter within the entry permit’s validity period—commonly 60 days from issue for the service described there—but always check the expiry date printed on your own permit.
A visit or tourist visa does not give the holder permission to work in the UAE.
Who can apply for a 30-day UAE visit visa?
You may need to apply in advance if your passport does not qualify for visa-free entry or a visa on arrival. The applicable route depends on your nationality and travel document, and some travellers may not need a pre-arranged tourist visa at all. Check the current visa rules with MC Travel & Tourism for your passport before applying.
If you need a 30-day tourist visa, you can apply easily through MC Travel. You can apply while outside the UAE, but you must wait for the permit to be approved before travelling on it.
If you are already in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi, or another emirate, tell us before applying. Inside country visa extension is a different process and may have additional fees.
Not sure which route applies to you? Contact MC Travel UAE with your nationality, current location and planned travel dates. We can help you identify the information needed for an application; the authority makes the final eligibility and approval decisions.
Documents Commonly Required
For a Dubai tourist visa, the following core documents are required:
A copy of the applicant’s passport, generally with at least six months’ validity.
A recent personal photograph.
Additional documents where required for the applicant’s nationality or case.
Requirements can vary, so MC Travel UAE will confirm the current checklist for your application before submission.
Before sending documents: Check that your passport details are readable, your name and date of birth match across documents, and your passport will remain valid for the required period. Don’t send sensitive documents to a provider until you have verified that the provider is genuine; the UAE government advises travellers to check travel-agent authenticity.

How long does processing take?
GDRFA Dubai currently lists an expected completion time of 48 hours for its single-entry tourist-visa service. This is an authority’s published estimate, not a guaranteed end-to-end turnaround for every application. Missing documents, additional checks, public holidays or other case-specific factors may affect timing.
How much does a 30-day Dubai visit visa cost?
AED 200 plus 5% VAT
The total depends on the application route, whether you apply inside or outside the UAE, and any applicable service, insurance or processing charges.
GDRFA Dubai’s dedicated service page lists a government fee of AED 200 plus 5% VAT for a 30-day single-entry tourist visa. It also lists additional charges for certain applications made from inside the UAE. This is an authority-listed fee—not MC Travel UAE’s full service price—the total may vary.
Ask MC Travel UAE for a current, itemized quote before paying. Confirm what is included, whether insurance or an in-country fee applies, and whether any amount is refundable if the application is not approved.
How long can I stay in Dubai on a 30-day visa?
The allowed stay is the period shown on the approved visa—up to 30 days for this visa type.
The date you must leave by is not necessarily the same as the permit’s “valid until” date for entering the UAE. Check both dates on the issued permit, and keep a copy accessible during travel.
Can I extend a 30-day UAE visit visa?
An extension may be possible, but it is not automatic or guaranteed.
GDRFA Dubai lists an extension service for tourist visas and says an extension may be granted one or more times, subject to the applicable limit and the issuing authority’s decision. Eligibility and fees can depend on the visa type and current rules. Contact MC Travel UAE before your current permitted stay expires; do not assume you can extend after it has expired.
Can I change my visa status inside the UAE?
A change of status may be possible in some cases, but it is a separate immigration process, not an automatic feature of a visit visa.
GDRFA Dubai lists a Status Amendment service; its requirements include having a new visa and, where applicable, cancellation of the previous permit. Whether an in-country change is available depends on your current status, new visa and authority requirements.
Ask for a case-specific check before your current visa expires. Do not assume that you can remain in the UAE while a new application is pending unless the relevant authority confirms your status.
What happens if my visa expires?
If your permitted stay expires and you have not left the UAE or received an approved extension or status change, you may incur overstay fines. The fine and next steps should be confirmed with the authority that issued your permit, as rules and individual circumstances can differ. Contact the authority or MC Travel UAE promptly rather than waiting until after expiry.

How MC Travel UAE can assist
MC Travel UAE offers UAE visa application assistance and can help applicants understand the document checklist, prepare application details and coordinate submission. We’ll explain what is included in a quote and flag information that should be verified against current immigration requirements.
We do not guarantee approval, a particular processing time or entry into the UAE. The relevant immigration authority makes the visa decision, and the final permit conditions control the visitor’s entry and stay.
